Event description
Learn more about the opportunities we have to alleviate the Reef from one of its leading pressures.

About this Event

The Great Barrier Reef is one of Queensland’s greatest assets; providing jobs, protecting coastlines, provisioning medicines, and much more.  The Reef is under many threats but fortunately Queensland has the power to make a positive change over one of the leading pressures; by improving water quality.

We need to work together and support one another as individuals, organisations, farmers, fishers and other relevant stakeholders to help improve the Reef's long term future. This will allow the Reef to increase resilience to other threats being faced, and therefore continue to be a valuable asset for many generations to come.

With talks from a diverse array of experts in the field, including:

- JON BRODIE. Reef Water Quality Expert Scientist.

- KATRINA DENT. CEO Reef Catchments.

- SIMON MATTSSON. Cane Farmer and Nuffield Scholar.

- GARLONE MOULIN. Grazing rep and award winner.

- HON LEEANNE ENOCH. QLD Environment Minister (video).

Learn about the opportunities we have to alleviate the Reef from one of its leading pressures.

(Also sign our petition to ask the Governments to increase funding to support and enhance projects working towards improving the Reef water quality.)

Tell the Government to fund the future of our Reef!
