Description

Imagine a new future, where today’s waste is tomorrow’s essential product. Actually… the future has already landed. Welcome to Canberra’s Zero Waste Revolution showcase of best practice in waste management. Our panel of experts will share snapshots of their experience in the collection and composting of organic waste, implementation of a seven bin system in Europe and in the recycling of unusual household items in America. You are invited to contribute to the discussion, with a short question and answer session following the showcase.

Speakers and Panel members:

  • Mr Mal Williams, international expert in Clean Stream, a world leading approach to recycling, and Executive Director of the Zero Waste International Trust.

  • Mr Chris Steele, ACT Minister for City Services, Minister for Community Services and Facilities, Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Minister for Roads.

  • Ms Roslyn Florie-George, National Tender / Bid Manager for REMONDIS Australia and past Business Manager of MRA Consulting Group, expert in Australian waste and resource recovery service procurement and policy.

  • Mr Gerry Gillespie, expert in waste management with a focus on organics and member of the Zero Waste International Trust Board.

  • Mr Markus Dirnberger, physicist and expert in Austria’s seven bin collection system and the circular economy.

  • Mr Glenn Eales, Regional Manager EnviroCom Australia. Environmental educator who has been designing and delivering a diverse range of innovative and successful community waste and environmental education programs to Australian communities for over 20 years.
