About this event

You’re Invited - WAMA Presents: Inside Out Branding

“Talent pools both in WA and across Australia are drying up. There is a skill shortage like never before and finding, recruiting, and keeping talent has become challenging for both client-side marketing teams and agencies.

With local and international borders reopening this year, the great resignation underway, and people reconsidering everything we once took as gospel in our working life – something’s gotta give.

So what will it be? How do we overcome the hiring challenges we’re encountering? How do we attract new talent? How do we retain that talent?”

Talking to this hot topic, our panellists for the morning include:

Zoe Henham, People and Culture, Tattarang

Zoe has worked for Minderoo Foundation and Tattarang in a variety of People and Culture roles since 2019. She was appointed Board Chair of the Women’s Legal Service WA in 2018 and has been a co-opted member of Lifeline Australia’s Audit and Risk Committee since 2020. Zoe applies a pragmatic, innovative, and solutions orientated mind-set, with strengths in people strategy, values and culture, sustainability, capability building, diversity, inclusion and belonging, and reward and recognition.

Neil Cullingford, Director of Marketing and Communications, Murdoch University

Neil is a marketer with experience in the UK and Australia across a diverse range of organisations, from fast-growth entrepreneurial start-ups through to large global corporates. He now leads the Marketing & Communications Office at Murdoch University, which encompasses brand marketing, media and communications, marketing operations and creative services. During his time at Murdoch, Neil has overseen the development of brand and marketing strategies together with leading organisational change programs.

Peter Gavalas, General Manager – Business Operations, Bonfire

Peter has been instrumental in developing Bonfire’s P&C and Operations functions since inception. He believes culture is key to the agency’s employee tenure and satisfaction ratings. Peter is passionate about helping companies maximise efficiency and productivity to evolve their businesses, which has been instrumental to Bonfire’s growth to over 50 staff members.

In addition to our panel, Gemma Kelly, Manager - Marketing and Digital at Michael Page, will be giving us the low down on their Marketing State of Play report for 2022.

Come, eat, drink (coffee) and be merry – we have extended the event by 30 minutes too so that you can mingle and compare notes afterwards.

See you soon!
