Description

Nature Glenelg Trust is hosting an exclusive community event - on World Rivers Day 2018 - to mark the launch of the new Walker Swamp Restoration Reserve (adjacent to the Grampians National Park, near Dunkeld), and all of our supporters are invited!

Hosted activities will include bushwalking to key locations on the property, birdwatching, waterbug identification, and presentations about the site and NGT’s plans for restoring the wetlands across the property in the future. If that is too formal for you, then just come and sit by the fire, have a hot cuppa and mingle with other like-minded people!

Following a BBQ lunch, Neil Murray (now a solo artist but also of the Warumpi Band from the 80s and 90s), will perform a live acoustic set to celebrate the official start of this exciting new wetland restoration project.

Registration to attend this special event is FREE for project supporters who have donated to the Walker Swamp fundraising campaign.

If you are keen to come along and haven't made a donation yet, then it isn't too late. For more information on the project and how to donate please visit our Walker Swamp Donation page on our website. Donations can also be accepted on the day of the event.

We look forward to seeing you there!

PS - More detailed information about the event, including directions, will be sent by email to those who register 3-4 days prior.
