Wal Hazlett Benefit Black Tie Ball
Sat. 27 May 2017, 6:00 pm – 11:59 pm AEST
Our great mate Wal Hazlett suffered major spinal injuries in a helicopter crash earlier this year and is now confined to a wheelchair. We are holding a ball to support the recovery of Wal and his family. Proceeds will go to assisting Wal in his rehabilitation in the hope to improve the quality of life for Wal and his young family.
Wal is working hard to overcome all of these challenges in order to be with his wife Chloe and two little boys Tom and Jack.
The Cootamundra Rugby club is suporting the Wal Hazlett Benefit Committee by welcoming people far and wide in order to get together to raise funds for Wal's recovery. Please join us on May 27 to raise awareness and fundraise as much as possible for Wal's continuing journey.
Feel free to pop on over to the Cootamundra Rugby Oval on the Saturday for an afternoon of quality rugby, chugby, drinks and steak sandwhiches before brushing up and heading over to the Ball!
Wal is aiming to make it to the Making Strides Gold Coast Spinal Rehabilitation Facility. Making Strides is a vibrant specialist spinal cord injury recovery centre committed to providing effective and efficient exercise based therapy to help clients reach their full recovery potential as well as achieve and maintain optimal health and fitness. Please help us in helping Wal make it to Making Strides in order to continue his journey.
