Description

WAITLIST: Go on – Convince me! Persuasive writing (Bright Minds)

Persuasive writing is wrestling with words – you need to floor your opponent with the strength of your argument. This interactive workshop gives students the core skills they’ll need to write compelling monologues, convincing cases and captivating contentions that go beyond the dry repetition of facts but tap into the deep emotional state that connects us all as humans. In a world where the strength of our convictions can mean the difference between success and failure, the art of persuasion is one worth perfecting. And arguing is fun, so there's that too.

Location: Queensland Academies, Science, Mathematics and Technology Campus (78 Bywong Street, Toowong)

Date: Saturday, 24 March 2018

Time: 12.30 – 2.30 pm

Cost: $55

Capacity: 25

Students are required to wear comfortable clothes, enclosed shoes, with hair tied back, and bring a drink and snack. All other materials are supplied.

This workshop seeks to:
