Description

Wade Workshop #2: Networking and Pitching

Presented by the Wade Institute

Mentors: Ishani Chattopadhyay and Georgia McDonald

Entrepreneurship is the process of developing an enterprise from the ground up. It involves building a profitable business around an innovative product, process or service. For successful entrepreneurship, intelligently identifying and servicing a market need is just as important as the technical quality of the solution.

In this super interactive masterclass and workshop we will teach you one of the most important skills in an entrepreneur (and graduate’s) toolkit. How to tell your story, pitch your product, and persuade an audience of 1 to 100. Don’t be shy – we’ve all been in the same boat! Learn a must-have skill for a successful career in startups or industry.

The Master of Entrepreneurship delivered at the Wade Institute is a University of Melbourne degree teaching students how to create, sustain and manage entrepreneurial ventures. In this intensive and practical focused one-year degree, students create and build their own startup while undertaking rigorous academic classes in key subject areas such as business models, business acumen for entrepreneurs, design thinking, pathways to growth and scalability and human resources. Our small cohort is diverse along every metric to enhance learning outcomes and our mentors come from a range of commercial and impact backgrounds to support emerging entrepreneurs to fulfil their potential. We have a $20,000 scholarship available to a student from a STEM discipline undertaking the Master of Entrepreneurship. For more information email enquiries@wadeinstitute.org.au
