WA Child Safety Services invites you to participate in this professional development opportunity where you will learn about the Protective Behaviours program.


This workshop will provide participants with:

  • understanding of the 'grooming process' and child sexual abuse

  • knowledge about the impact of trauma on children and young people

  • understanding of the Protective Behaviours program

  • skills and tools to deliver the Protective Behaviours program with your client group


About the Facilitator

Kayelene has over 17 years’ experience in Law Enforcement investigating child sexual and physical abuse, sexual assault and historical child sexual abuse complaints. As a result of her law enforcement work Kayelene is extremely passionate about the prevention of child sexual abuse through education and early intervention. In addition to teaching the Protective Behaviours program Kayelene is committed to ensuring our children and young people are taught to keep themselves safe in the online world. Kayelene facilitates school cyber safety education from pre-primary to Year 12 and also delivers Cyber Safety workshops to parents and carers. Kayelene is the mother of two young boys and strongly believes a whole of community approach is required to address child sexual abuse.
