About this event

The Waalitj Hub Working with Aboriginal People Course is delivered in partnership with three Service Providers and includes two components: 60 minute Cultural Awareness Training online (CATonline) and a face to face Facilitated Workshop.

60 minute Cultural Awareness Training online (CATonline)

This training briefly covers the below topics and must be completed prior to attending the face to face workshop.

• History - settlement, colonisation, historical governmental policies/acts/activities, stolen generation

• Impact of these events on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

• Culture and protocols

Full day Face-to-face Facilitated Workshop delivered at the Waalitj Hub in Burswood

This workshop will be a contemporary conversation conducted in the context of Waalitj Hub services with a Business and Employment focus; providing participants with knowledge, tools and techniques.

Facilitators will share lived-experience and first-hand knowledge about effectively working with Aboriginal People.
