Description
On 1 March writingWA, the peak body for the writing and publishing sector in WA, is hosting a forum to enable members of the writing sector and wider community to hear from the Liberal, National, Labor and Greens Parties regarding their policies for the development of our State's literary culture and economy.
Following a broader debate to be hosted by the Chamber of Arts and Culture on 20 February, this Forum will provide an opportunity for a more specific discussion around policy and funding for the writing and publishing sector.
Confirmed speakers at this event include:
Hon Michelle Roberts, MLA - WA Labor, Shadow Minister for Culture and the Arts
Hon Lynn MacLaren, MLC - Arts Spokesperson for The Greens (WA)
Hon Michael Mischin, MLC - Liberal Party WA, representing Hon John Day MLA, Minister for Culture and the Arts
Please note that the Hon Colin Holt, MLC, Arts Spokesperson for The National Party WA will not be able to participate in the event due to a prior commitment in Albany on that day.
