Event description
Volunteer at our Western Australia Processing Centre.

About this event

Every year, hundreds of thousands of shoeboxes are lovingly packed and collected around the nation that will be sent to children overseas. Before being sent to the receiving countries, we need to “process” each shoebox to ensure all items are appropriate. We seek volunteers to help us at do this at Processing Centres.

The minimum age to volunteer is 15, and people aged 15-17 must be supervised*. There are a range of jobs to be completed from checking shoeboxes, to packing outer cartons and filling shipping containers. Tasks will be allocated when you check-in. We ask that you wear and bring: comfortable clothing and enclosed footwear, a water bottle, and your own food.

Please be assured that all our Processing Centres are COVID compliant within Government guidelines. We will notify you of safety measures prior to your scheduled booking that comply with government regulations.

In your confirmation email you will receive all the information you need about volunteering on your selected day, including a “Processing Volunteer Agreement” form that will need to be completed prior to volunteering.

We want to thank you for registering and generously giving of your time to volunteer, we can’t wait to serve alongside you to get all the shoeboxes packed and sent to children all over the world!

Please Note

Volunteers aged 15 -17 may participate providing they are supervised by a parent, guardian, teacher, youth leader or similar person.
