Event description
Cancelled // WA Family Law Pathways Network Annual Conference

About this Event

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

In light of the current situation and global concerns surrounding Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and its impact on the community, the WA Family Law Pathways Network has made the decision to cancel the Annual Conference and Workshop Day scheduled on 12 and 13 May 2020 respectively.

This is in line with the Federal Government’s directives that all organised, non-essential gatherings do not proceed to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus.

While this was a difficult decision for our Committee, who were very excited about the event, we believe it is the responsible course of action to protect both our speakers and delegates, along with the medically vulnerable in the wider community.

All registered delegates will receive a full refund and these will be processed as quickly as possible by our Conference Managers.

Thank you for your understanding at this challenging time and we will be in touch when we have further details.

For more information on the virus and the steps that can be taken to minimise its impact, visit the Australian Government Department of Health website.

  • Judge Tom Altobelli (Judge of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia)

Workshop topics:

The morning workshop, titled 'Decision making in the future: shedding the baggage of cognitive, implicit, and cultural biases' will be presented by Judge Tom Altobelli and Dr Phil Stahl.

The afternoon workshop will be hosted by Robert A. Simon, Ph.D., the Honourable Justice Simon Moncrieff and Robin Cohen. The title of the workshop is yet to be confirmed.
