We are mapping the experiences of women of colour and allies and need your help.
The Victorian Public Sector (VPS) Women of Colour Network (WoCN) is launching its first ever Diversity and Inclusion Survey.
You are invited to join our online event to soft launch our D&I Survey and hear from an incredible lineup of panel speakers discussing the importance of collecting cultural/intersectional data, supporting diverse women in the VPS and more..

What are we launching: The Victorian Public Sector (VPS) Women of Colour Network (WoCN) is launching its first ever Diversity and Inclusion Survey.
This survey is centred on understanding the experiences of women of colour throughout the VPS and we are asking that this survey is completed by women of colour, allies or advocates who work in the VPS.
The survey is structured on recruitment, professional experience and workplace culture. Responses from the survey are vital to help develop resources and recommendations to make a more inclusive and equitable workplace for all.

About our panelist
Vivienne Nguyen - Chairperson, Victorian Multicultural Commission
Vivienne is a passionate advocate for diversity and multiculturalism with more than 25 years’ experience in the corporate, public and community sectors. She was previously the President of the Vietnamese Community in Australia – Victorian Chapter, Viv played a key role in advocating for Australia’s first Vietnamese cultural museum. She commenced as the Chairperson of the Victorian Multicultural Commission in August 2019.
At the Department of Health and Human Services and Melbourne City Mission, she supported the disability sector’s transition to the NDIS.
Prior to her work in the public and community sectors, she held roles at the AustChoice Financial Services, AMP Asset Management and ANZ Banking Group where she led the global organisation’s diversity strategy. Viv was awarded the Australian Centenary Medal in 2003 and was recorded on the Victorian Honour Roll (2002) for her services to community advocating for women in leadership and Vietnamese young people.
Dr Niki Vincent - Commissioner, Commission for Gender Equality in the Public Sector
Dr Vincent has a wealth of experience in gender equality and organisational leadership. This includes most recently serving as the South Australian Commissioner for Equal Opportunity since May 2016. In this role, Dr Vincent was responsible for the general administration of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (SA).
In her capacity as Commissioner for Equal Opportunity, Niki Chaired the Australian Council of Human Rights Authorities (ACHRA), served on the national management committee of Play by the Rules, and was a member of the SA/NT Advisory Council for the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA). She holds an appointment as an Adjunct Associate Professor in UniSA’s Business School. In addition, she is an active ambassador for Time for Kids – a respite foster care organisation.
Prior to her appointment as Commissioner for Equal Opportunity, Niki held the position of CEO of the Leaders Institute of South Australia as well as a concurrent appointment as a member of the Remuneration Tribunal of South Australia. She has also led major programs of research in previous roles and has established and run two successful not-for-profit organisations.
A mother of four adult children, Niki has also been a weekend respite foster mum for almost five years. She spends her sparse free time with her partner, family and friends, hiking, seeing films, listening to Radio National podcasts and a variety of music, gardening, doing yoga and camping in remote places.
As Commissioner, Dr Vincent is responsible for overseeing implementation of the Gender Equality Act 2020 and plays a key leadership role in promoting gender equality in the Victorian community and workplaces.
Enstar Hamid - Executive Operations Manager Registrations, Victorian Land Registry Services
Entsar Hamid joined the Victorian Land Registry Services (VLRS) in August 2019.
Entsar has 13 years’ experience in building government and organisational capability, driving operational excellence, and change and transformation with a central focus on improved stakeholder management. Entsar has held Executive roles across the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the city of Port Phillip, and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.
A Board Director of the Institute of Public Administration Australia (Victoria Chapter) and Gender Equity Victoria, she is also a mentor with Leadership Victoria and the Victorian Endowment for Science, Knowledge and Innovation (VESKI).
In 2018, Entsar was the youngest recipient to receive the Top 50 Women in the Public Sector (Victoria) Award.
