This event showcases the work occurring within the unit that contributes to the production of several reports: CCOPMM’s Annual report, the Perinatal Services Performance Indicators (PSPI’s) and the Victorian Congenital Anomalies Report (VCAR).

The day also provides an interdisciplinary platform for senior maternity managers, midwife practitioners, maternity clinicians, educators and researchers to discuss recent changes to the collection and concerns regarding practical challenges encountered along with solutions that have benefitted the health setting and the midwifery workforce who provide the data.

Research using the VPDC data is presented, with findings that look at recommendations to improve clinical outcomes for mothers and babies and areas where data quality can be improved along with trends in outcomes.
