This FREE interactive training session explores the fundamentals of modern volunteering in Australia, covering the rights and responsibilities (including WHS, Duty of Care and confidentiality) of this highly significant role.
Effective communication strategies for working with a wide range of people, including older people and those living with a disability, will also be discussed, as will the ‘wellness’ and 'reablement' approaches fundamental to programs funded by Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).

Who should participate?
This training is ideally suited to new Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)/Disability funded services volunteers or as a refresher for longer terms volunteers.
