our Public Health Future
Join us as we ask "Why?" and "What If" in the world of "What is"
Are you a patient, consumer, carer, health worker, service deliverer, policy shaper?
Are you interested in helping us shape future healthcare for Australia?
We are inviting everyone to join our event "Dare to Design : Future Healthcare" at Vivid Ideas this year. Come along listen to others, share your voice.
This one day workshop will put the patient and carer needs at the centre of the discussion. We will focus on three key themes: chronic health, mental health and cancer. Using a Design Thinking approach, we will work together and build an understanding of each other’s perspective. The output will be ideas and recommendations on how to deliver integrated healthcare and what matters to you - to influence the trajectory of Australian’s lives and health.
Together we will discover how Australia’s new world public health could ‘work’.
During the workshop you will:
Be inspired by leading experts addressing complex problems with new approachesWork with, listen and learn from people that are not usually part of your network.
John McGuire: Chief Innovation Officer, Aurecon
Phil Preston: Shared Value Expert, The Collaborative Advantage
Dr Mieke van der Bijl-Brouwer, Senior Lecture, Faculty of Transdisciplinary Innovation, UTS
Be introduced to and use the Kairos Now Design Thinking framework and tools.
Build an appreciation of the complexity of needs that must be considered.
Identify combined service delivery needs and creative solutions.
Help us shape a summary report to be delivered to government for consideration and to generate further discussions.
This session promises to be fun, creative and collaborative. You will develop valuable skills and make new connections.
