This workshop answers the age-old question - how are supposed to find the time to be creative, work or run a business and make time for a life as well? This fun and informal workshop discusses practical strategies to help you keep all the juggling balls in the air. Participants will also discuss the larger issues of setting goals, staying motivated, saying “NO” and finding the balance between being creative and making money.
Time Management for Creative People is presented by creative industries expert Monica Davidson from the Creative Plus Business Group, in her fifth partnership with Vivid Ideas Sydney! Monica is a writer and filmmaker by trade, who learned how to run a successful creative business and now shares that knowledge with others.
All participants also receive a printed workbook and access to a dedicated webpage full of links and resources to help them get ahead in their time management. The workshop is relaxed and informal, you can ask all the questions you’ve never been able to ask before, and participants will also be given ample opportunity to network and get to know each other.
If you reside in NSW, you'll also get the chance to benefit from two free business advisory sessions with the team at Creative Plus Business. These sessions will be subsidised in full by the NSW Industry Business Connect program – no strings attached!
For more information visit Creative Plus Business.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
This event is open to all ages – but be warned, Monica is a fan of ‘colourful’ language!
What's the address again?
We are in DARLINGHURST, not Paddington! Between Crown and Riley streets, opposite the ANZ bank.
Can I park? Should I drive?
Street parking is very limited. What little is available is timed and costs roughly $4.50 per hour. There is a Wilson parking station nearby at 46 Riley Street which is more reasonable - the flat rate is $15 per day on weekends. It's about 10 minutes walk from our location.
What are my public transport options getting to the event?
BY TRAIN: The closest railway station is Museum, and the venue is a short walk up Oxford Street. BY BUS: All of the Oxford Street buses go past our building and will drop you at the nearest stop near the corner of Crown Street. The 440 and the M10 also come from Central.
Do you offer concessions?
Not usually. We think the price offering is already reasonable, but feel free to get in touch if you’re very strapped for cash and we’ll see what we can do.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
You can give your ticket to someone else to use, but there will be no refunds if you can't attend. Let us know in advance if you can’t attend and we’ll try and pop you in another masterclass.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office on 02 8091 2082.
