Winner of the 2013 National Trust Award for Conservation and Heritage, the Bradman family home is a step back into early Australian life. A treasure trove of Australian domestic history and everyday life, the house is a window into an almost forgotten world. Period furnishings, household appliances, and photographs tell a vivid story of the young Don Bradman and his family’s early life in Bowral. You will be given the opportunity to explore the house’s extensive digital archives which dates back to the mid-19th century. They include oral histories, documents, fashion and household catalogues, magazines, photographs, and other materials relating to Australian social, cultural and sporting history.

Discover how Don Bradman developed his phenomenal cricketing skills and learn about his family’s early life in Bowral. Your package includes a guided tour of the award-winning Bradman Family Home at Shepherd Street, access to Don Bradman’s famous tank stand as well as the house’s extensive historical digital archives. Maximum six people per tour.
