Event description

Description

Port Lincoln locals are invited to climb on board the Australian National Maritime Museum’s HMB Endeavour replica at Brennan Wharf.

Visitors to this floating museum will learn how 18th century crew went about their tasks during Cook's epic 1768-71 world voyage, when he became the first to chart Australia's east coast. They will see the mess deck where sailors lived and ate, and the Great Cabin where botanist Josepth Banks worked with his scientists to document botanical specimens.

For the adventurous, it's an opportunity to speak with the ship's crew to find out about upcoming voyages to Portland & Sydney on Endeavour, one of the world's most accurate maritime replica vessels.

How to Visit

Endeavour will be open to the public from 10am-5pm Saturday 5 and Sunday 6, 2pm-5pm, Monday 7 - Tuesday 8 February (last entry 4pm). The ship will be located at Brennan Wharf.

All children must be accompanied by an adult and must be taller than 90cm to come aboard. No high heels allowed.
