Description

Learn how virtual reality can be used for research, teaching, learning and training.

Virtual reality offers a unique 3D experience and is increasingly being used to develop authentic, simulated learning experiences. This innovative technology tool is currently being used by academic staff across the University to support their teaching and research.

Using the University’s new state-of-the-art immersive learning space in the Medical building, participants attending this session will be given the opportunity to experience virtual reality technology for themselves. Examples demonstrating various use cases will be shared as well as advice and guidance about factors to consider when developing or experiencing virtual reality learning activities.

Presenter: Ben Loveridge

Ben Loveridge - Institute Fellow (Virtual Reality), Networked Society Institute and Communications and Media Production Consultant, Learning Environments.
