Want to learn more about VR? This December, Fishburners, Little Tokyo Two and Digital Brisbane have partnered to bring you a range of events, VR demos and free week of coworking (from December 5th - 9th) for anyone and everyone who's interested or working with Virtual Reality (VR).
We'll kick things off with our opening event on Friday 2nd of December where ImmersePort will be presenting the three key technologies which are emerging in the marketplace: Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and 360 Video, and how they can be utalised by your business.
Since the Kickstarter project for the Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset launched in 2012 we have seen 10x growth in immersive technologies.
Building on current infrastructure we now have VR capability in the form of mobile phones, where all you need is a couple of lenses and a viewer. Phones have also opened up the capability to deliver Augmented Reality (AR), and now with Youtube and Facebook's new algorithms, we can upload 360 videos to be viewed by the masses.
ImmersePort is a software development company which provides VR, AR and 360 video production in the corporate, education and health industries. Their clients include KPMG, Advance Queensland, TMR and also local startups.
On the night they'll cover:
- What is virtual reality
- What is augmented reality
- What is 360 video
- How these technologies are being used by businesses today
- How you can use these technologies in your business
There will be demos on the night for you to experience the technologies for yourself!
