Hear from our three panelists: Jordan Duffy, Lex Van Cooten and Ali Cameron. On the night they'll be sharing their experiences working with VR and what the future looks like in this industry.
The event will be moderated by Brisbane's Chief Digital Officer Cat Matson and will be followed by drinks and networking.
Lex Van Cooten
Lex Van Cooten is Co-Director of ImmersePort, a company specialising in immersive technologies for training, marketing and health applications. As registered HTC Vive and Oculus Rift developers with professional 360 video production capabilities, ImmersePort provides services to clients ranging local businesses to larger corporations and government departments including KPMG, Transport and Main Roads, and Education Queensland.
Originally working as a photographer in Australia, Ali diversified her career whilst working in the fast paced world of São Paulo's film and TV industry. During this time she also worked as a freelance photojournalist for São Paulo’s largest newspaper Folha de São Paulo. For several years she was exposed to unique and innovative ways to approach film production amidst the South American market. Since 2013 she has been based back in Brisbane and is currently represented by Taxi Films. Ali was the Director for the Advance Queensland Hot desQ 360 immersive launch video produced by Taxi Films. A VR/360 degree video filmed all over Queensland taking viewers on an immersive journey meeting the brightest startup founders working across the sunshine state.
Jordan has been an entrepreneur since his school days, running a nationwide business from high school at age 14. Now, Jordan is a recognised leader in innovation and a tried-and-tested entrepreneur. Jordan’s key organisation, Buckham and Duffy Consultants, provides strategic and innovative consulting and custom software services to enterprise and government around the world. Over four years B&D has grown from a two-man band to a staff of 20 across five countries. Jordan’s love of the world has seen him travel to over 15 countries between business and pleasure.
