Virtual reality, augmented reality and games workshop
Fri. 21 October 2016, 9:00 am – 1:15 pm AWST
The smartphone has changed the way we communicate, shop, watch, think and play. Now, virtual reality and augmented reality are set to transform our lives and disrupt industries around the world. Pokémon Go is only the tip of the iceberg – virtual and augmented reality will radically transform everything from entertainment and training to tourism. The games industry is already a little-known economic powerhouse, worth $100 billion globally – more than Hollywood.
Join games designer and entrepreneur Dr Kate Raynes-Goldie in this intensive hands-on workshop, where you will gain direct insight into the future of games. You will think and see the world like a game designer, learn about the most exciting virtual and augmented-reality game projects, and even try your hand at Stirfire Studios’ locally created VR Game, Symphony of the Machine. There are limited spaces, so book soon.
This event is suitable for all ages.
