About this event
In collaboration with AustCyber SA Node, The University of Adelaide’s CSER STEM Professional Learning Team are hosting a free online cyber security workshop to support South Australian Primary and Secondary Teachers to integrate cyber security topics into the classroom.
Our use of technology and access to information is growing and understanding how our digital world works, how it is designed to protect us and how we can keep our information safe is critical for both adults and children to learn.
This workshop is based around content from CSER's Cyber Security & Awareness Courses, funded by Google Australia, CSIRO and AustCyber and covers three big key ideas: cyber awareness, cyber security and cyber safety. The Cyber Security & Awareness MOOCs & Workshop covers topics, including: Cyber Security Fundamentals, Information Safety and Security, Internet Security, Cyber Ethics, Cryptography and more!
Participants will have the opportunity to learn practical classroom activity ideas and discover the depth of career pathways in this critical and growing sector. CSER Professional Learning aims to provide immediately applicable ideas for teachers in the classroom linked to the Australian Curriculum.
Beyond the workshop participants will have access to further learning within CSER's online courses and PL-in-a-Box resources to champion the subject with peers.
Registered participants will receive an online link to the training, ahead of the event date. Those who register and attend on the day will receive a certificate of attendance for their professional learning portfolio.
Please note this workshop is aimed at South Australian based teachers only. Please follow us for other upcoming national webinars or events.
