Victoria’s Embedded Networks Review
Event Information
About this Event
In October 2018, the Victorian Government announced an election commitment to ban embedded networks in new residential apartment buildings, with appropriate exemptions for buildings that use renewable energy microgrids to deliver low-cost renewable energy to apartment buildings.
An Issues Paper has been released to begin formal stakeholder consultation into a review of embedded networks. The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) encourages stakeholders who are interested in sharing their knowledge and experience of residential embedded networks to make submissions to the review. Submissions will inform the development of recommendations to government on how to implement its election commitment. If you would like to make a submission, further details are available at the Engage Victoria Embedded Networks Review web page.
This is your opportunity to have your say so that implementing the ban with appropriate exemptions will ensure equitable outcomes for all Victorian energy consumers living in residential embedded networks.
