Event description

Description

Since its inception in 2009, the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (VEET) has helped close to 1.7 million households and 67,000 businesses undertake energy-saving activities.

This year, Victorian households and businesses will save $400 million off their energy bills because of the energy-saving upgrades undertaken through VEET.

To ensure the continued growth of the program, there are a number of exciting changes and new developments taking place, such as the introduction of the Measurement and Verification method.

Therefore, to provide the energy efficiency community with an overview of the program’s future direction, the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning will host the 2017 VEET Industry Update.

Join the Hon. Lily D’Ambrosio MP, Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change on Tuesday 1 August at Melbourne Park, for a breakfast and subsequent information sessions to hear about:

  • Improving public communications for the program

  • The release of a discussion paper analysing the remaining pool of opportunity for commercial lighting (Schedule 34) upgrades, the current condition of the lighting market and the VEET program targets

  • An overview of the Measurement and Verification method with a presentation by the Essential Services Commission on this new activity's administrative requirements.

Venue: Skyline Room, Melbourne Park Function Centre, Olympic Boulevard.

The Melbourne Park Function Centre is to the north-east of Rod Laver Arena. You can access a map of the venue here.
