Event description

Description

We invite coordinators of citizen science projects in Victoria, Australia to come along to the second meeting of the Victorian Citizen Science group.

Citizen science is rapidly growing in size and momentum throughout Australia. The establishment of the Australian Citizen Science Association (ACSA) kick started fantastic networking opportunities that led to the idea to form a Victorian group.

We are coordinators of citizen science projects in Victoria and our aim is to bring together our local citizen science community, to learn about each other's projects, share our ideas and work through our issues together.

Our initial meeting, held in May 2016, was the start of the conversation. We're looking forward to continuing the conversation and to growing our group.

Meeting details

Wednesday 19 July 2017

We've set aside two hours for our second meeting, which will involve;

  • A presentation about bioinformatics in citizen science by Ken Walker, BowerBird, Museums Victoria
  • A discussion of issues you might be facing - we hope that we can find others who have experienced or are experiencing the same issues, so that we may work through solutions together
