Event description

Description

A Common Interest Work Group presented by SIRF Roundtables VICTAS.

Attendance is free for people from member companies of SIRF Roundtables in Victoria and Tasmania.

Hosted by: Qenos Olefins Altona

Qenos

In this Common Interest Work Group (CIWG) we will be looking at Maintenance Scheduling. Most CMMS systems provide sufficient functionality for planning, but fall short in delivering practical solutions for the dynamic world of resource scheduling.

CMMS

This CIWG will be focused on what tools are used in the scheduling function. Specifically the group will share the barriers to successful scheduling and what tools businesses use to overcome these barriers..

Qenos have explored scheduling tools to complement their CMMS and will talk of their selection process, implementation and how they have found their chosen solution in use. Other companies present we will also have the opportunity to hear on the tools they also use for greater engagement and more efficient and effective scheduling.

Come learn from Qenos and others present on what their maintenance scheduling solution are. Come share what you are using with others facing the same opportunities and challenges. Come along to this event and discuss topics like:

  • Scheduling tools - design and function. What do they do? What should they be able to do?
  • Spreadsheets v planning software v paper based
  • CMMS scheduling tools. SAP, Elipse, Maximo, Prometheus, Viziya etc. Do they work and to what extent
  • Tips and tricks

About SIRF Rt Common Interest Work Groups

All SIRF Rt events are designed to provide a safe environment for open discussion with peers on the topic of interest they are working on, in and around. There will be no vendor companies in attendance at this meeting. SIRF Rt Common Interest Work Groups (CWIG’s) provide the best forum for peer-to-peer learning and best practice sharing. Participants are asked to bring something for ‘show and tell’ about the topic of the day as it applies at their organisation – a mini presentation (2 slides), something that you can present in 5min maximum. It could comprise a few photos, a brief descriptions of the current efforts/learnings, a couple of charts or graphs – anything that will help improve the discussion or share knowledge or expertise. After each company shares the deeper discussion follows, guided by our practiced facilitators.
