What’s the training about?
This refresher session will help you:
· Get a quick refresh on the SAFEMinds Online platform, including the new safeminds.org.au website.
· Revisit the NIP it in the Bud! early intervention approach for responding to self-harm in school communities.
· Review the NIP it in the Bud! Toolkit and resources for use both at home and in schools.
· Practice the toolkit and intervention approach through a new case study.
This session will allow you to reflect on how you've used SAFEMinds in your school, explore new ways to incorporate it into your school’s policies and initiatives, and share your successes and challenges during group discussions.

Who Can Attend?
This training is exclusively for Primary and Secondary school staff within the Victorian DE who’ve completed the original SAFEMinds In Practice training.
We recommend attending if you completed the training 6–36 months ago, giving you time to implement SAFEMinds in your school and come back to share your experiences.

On the Day:
- Arrival: It’s important to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time, as access will be denied if you arrive late, for clinical governance and emotional safety reasons.
- Technical Requirements: Log on with your own computer with a working microphone and camera. Please ensure your equipment is functioning properly before the training. Those who do not have a working camera or microphone will not be able to participate.
- Privacy: Due to the nature of this training, participants need to ensure their space is private enough so as not to be overheard by others, as conversations about self-harm and suicide will occur.
