Together We Achieve More! With this in mind we are launching the Innovative Schools Tour Bus. These events offer opportunities for educational leaders and teachers to visit schools/organisations challenging the status quo and bringing learning programs to the 21st Century. Hear their imperatives, strategies, successes and challenges as well as invaluable networking opportunity with educations nationally.

Tuesday 21st November 2017

8am Departure: Central Melbourne CBD location

8:30am - 9:30am: Melbourne Girls Grammar, South Yarra: Internationally recognised for its innovation, the Melbourne Girls Grammar Senior Years Program integrates academics and wellbeing for girls to access an unparalleled suite of opportunities. A flexi-approach challenges the traditional model of a school day providing students with opportunities to self-regulate and focus on developing an enterprising mindset.

11:00am - 12:00pm: Peninsula Grammar, Mt Eliza: Cultivating a new generation of creative problem finders and solvers, Peninsula Grammar is embracing the Maker Movement. Hear how Dean Pearman and his team are accelerating a culture of innovation and life long learning habits amongst (staff and students). Using lean methodologies to scale up ideas and provide students with the necessary skills to learn, grow and flourish in and beyond school.

1:15pm - 3:00pm: St Helena Secondary College, Eltham North: Learning analytics and big data is helping every student achieve more and St Helena has not shied away using this strategy to inform practice. With a goal to ensure that each students achieves at least one year’s growth in learning all Year 7 and 8 English and Maths teachers are streamlined into clustered groups and using data analytics to allow for a target teaching and early intervention.

3:30pm - 4:00pm: Melbourne Polytechnic & Tech Schools Victoria, Greensborough: Partnering with 31 schools in the Banyule Nillumbik and Whittlesea area has been an opportunity for a team of inspired educators who are partnering with Melbourne Polytechnic to rethink learning in the digital technologies space. You’ll meet Daniel, a student who has been inspired to expand his critical thinking skills and examined the social and ethical implications of artificial intelligence.

5:00pm - 6:00pm Optional Networking Opportunity, Melbourne CBD: Continue the debrief and network at a casual event from 5pm. Drinks and meals will be at the expense of individual attendees. Please ensure you let us know if you would be joining us.
