Event Details

Animal Emergency Service is thrilled to invite you to our first seminar in the series for 2018:

Stabilisation and Surgery of the Acute Abdomen

Featuring the combined expertise of emergency and surgical veterinarians, this free seminar will discuss acute abdominal crisis and the coordinated approach required to stabilization and surgery.

Our team will walk through the differences between resuscitation for patients with shock due to dehydration, haemorrhage, and sepsis. We will then discuss the timing of surgery, and practical tips for some of the more common surgeries encountered in management of acute abdominal emergencies.

Enterotomy, enterectomy, splenectomy, cholecystectomy, and general abdominal surgery will be covered. The final session covers post-operative supportive care, analgesia, and monitoring.

All veterinarians are welcome, and we encourage you to share this invitation with your colleagues.

Seating is strictly limited for this free event so register your attendance now.
