Event Details

Attracting, recruiting, retaining and developing the right people are priority challenges across the human services industry. We are facing unprecedented workforce demand across our sectors, particularly for frontline workers.
The vocational education and training (VET) sector will be instrumental in supporting the supply of this future workforce. At the same time, quality VET outcomes for human services are dependent on an integrated approach with service providers. We need to collaborate to promote our work and careers, create tangible pathways into education and employment and support job-ready graduates.

Current priority challenges to quality VET outcomes include:
  • Facilitating student access to meaningful work experience
  • Recognition of the scope of opportunity in human services employment
  • Sustainability of high quality training delivery that includes student-centered support

Join us on 23 August 2018 to explore these and other challenges, learn about the labour force of the future and identify shared solutions to:
  • Attracting the right people to our work
  • Building a sustainable, effective and agile training sector
  • Facilitating successful careers in Queensland’s fastest growing industry

Target Audience:

  • Industry representatives from the community services, health and early childhood education and care workforce.
  • Registered Training Organisations engaged in delivery of Community Services (CHC) and Health (HLT) training packages, peak body, government agency and other representatives working to support quality training outcomes.

Certificates of attendance:  Not provided for industry consultations.

Catering:  Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Parking:  Book online in advance for parking at Valley Metro, to secure your park at a discounted rate of $14.
