Event description

Description

The Australian Department of Social Services and the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) have commissioned a project to address thin markets in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Thin markets are described as areas where there is inadequate service delivery and participants’ needs are not met. This includes services in rural areas, support for people with complex needs, and support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Public consultation on NDIS thin markets is now open, and VCOSS is seeking your feedback.

Join us at our upcoming member consultation to share your views.

A discussion paper with background information is available here.

Accessibility

Our office is wheelchair accessible and we will have a hearing loop available. We endeavour to supply Auslan interpreters and/or live captioning at our events when required. Please request these during the registration process, at the earliest possible moment.

More information about accessibility at VCOSS is available here. Please let us know about any other access requirements through the form when registering, or contact Maeve Kennedy.
