Description

If you have a child in Year 9, 10, 11 who may need accommodations in their VCEs there are lots of things that you need to know - and that you need to start thinking about now.

This evening for parents and students entering Year 9 and upwards provides a look at some of the provisions, accommodations and support that you might need over the next few years as you make choices and prepare for VCE.

The evening will include:

  • Understanding and playing the ATAR game
  • Assessments and applications - what to do and when
  • Paperwork and paper trails
  • Where you want to go, and what you need to get there
  • Pathways and options

Anne Jackson is the Director of Education at Kids Like Us. Holding years of experience working with young people, many of whom have been going through the VCE examination process, Anne possesses considerable insight into the ways in which students can be supported to achieve their full potential.

Catherine Kirby is the CEO of Kids Like Us. She has recently survived the VCE process first-hand, and is now taking a deep breath before diving in again with her second child.

Jake Kirby is a Board Member of Kids Like Us. Jake is a VCE 2016 survivor who has a working knowledge of the ATAR game.
