VBAC Australia National Conference
Sat. 13 May 2017, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm AEST
The VBAC (Vaginal birth after caesarean) Australia National Conference will bring together birthing women, maternity care consumer advocates, researchers and birth supporters from across the country for a day of conversation on the topic: Supporting women; Supporting VBAC.
This conference will offer consumers the opportunity to learn about current research and information on the VBAC culture in Australia, hear from birth workers and VBAC researchers and to share stories with each other. It will also give birth workers the opportunity to hear from women around how women who have had previous caesarean births can be better supported to achieve informed, empowered and supported VBAC birth journeys.
The inaugural VBAC conference has three main aims:
* to increase birth workers’ confidence when discussing VBAC and supporting women who plan a VBAC in a holistic and woman centred way
* to encourage researchers to focus on woman centred VBAC research
* for women to come away feeling confident in their interactions with care providers when seeking support for planning a VBAC
Ticket price includes: Arrival tea and coffee, morning and afternoon tea, lunch and a gorgeous gift bag.
