Take a walk amongst the graves of Melbourne General Cemetery guided by Vanitas, an immersive new app experience that mixes real life documentary with touching speculation about the fate that awaits us all: death.

Experienced through your own smartphone and beautifully blending original music and contemplative voices, Vanitas is a chance to explore Melbourne’s most historic cemetery in a completely new way.

Duration: 60 – 70 minutes

The weekend of 17 to 18 February 2018 (please note last registration is at 5.30pm).

This experience is for the curious and questioning, for those who ponder life’s meaning and wonder how humans approach the end of life. Vanitas is for those who like to get off the beaten track and have an experience wandering alone in our spell-binding historic cemetery.

Warning: Contains adult themes including discussion of death, burial and cremation processess. Not suitable for children under 15 years of age. Involves moving alone through the cemetery for approximately 60 minutes.
