Values, Vibes & Vision Boards

Values, Vibes & Vision Boards

By New Leaf Social Work

Overview

Join Cody (she/her) in her cottagecore era for some wholesome Sunday arvo fun with a side of actually really helpful information.

Start the new year with clarity, creativity, and connection! Join us for a fun and inclusive event where we’ll reflect on what’s important, set intentions for the year ahead, and bring our goals to life with vision boards.

What’s Happening:

  • Explore Your Values: Reflect on what matters most to you and how it can guide your decisions in 2026.
  • Set the Vibes for the Year: Brainstorm words or themes that capture the energy you want to embrace in the new year.
  • Vision Board Workshop: Create your 2026 vision board using magazines, markers, and collage materials provided—or bring your own supplies if you have specific ideas in mind.

I’ll be bringing plenty of magazines, markers, and crafting supplies, but feel free to bring your own if you have particular items or images you want to include.

This event is a safe and welcoming space for everyone, especially those in queer and neurodivergent communities. Whether you’re here to set serious goals, make friends, or just have fun, this is a space to make it happen.

Participation looks different for everyone, and that’s totally okay! Whether you’re someone who loves to yap nonstop and share your ideas, or you’d prefer to sit quietly with headphones on and focus on your own process, this is a space where you can be yourself. There’s no pressure to engage in any specific way—come as you are and participate in whatever way feels comfortable for you.

This is an all ages event however, young people under 12 must be supervised by a parent or carer.

FAQ's:

1. I’m feeling anxious—what do I do?
Be brave and rock up! This event is designed to be a relaxed and welcoming space. You can participate in whatever way feels comfortable, whether that’s chatting with others, listening quietly, or just focusing on your vision board. There’s no pressure to do anything that makes you uncomfortable.

2. Can I come alone?
Of course! Many people come to events like this solo, and it’s a great way to meet others. If you’d prefer to keep to yourself, that’s fine too. We’ll make sure you feel welcomed, whether you’re here to socialise or just enjoy some quiet crafting time.

3. Do I need to bring anything?
You don’t need to bring anything unless you have specific supplies or images you want to include on your vision board. We’ll provide magazines, markers, scissors, glue, and plenty of other materials to get you started!

4. Can you invoice this to my NDIS plan?

If it aligns with your goals - can do! Just reach out and let me know the invoicing details such as plan manager and email address to send the invoice too.

5. What if I don’t know what to put on my vision board?
No worries! We’ll guide you through brainstorming activities to help you reflect on your values and what you want to focus on in 2026. There’s no “right” way to create a vision board—it’s all about what feels meaningful to you.

6. Do I have to talk or share my goals?
Not at all. This is a judgment-free zone. You can participate as much or as little as you like, whether that means chatting with others, working quietly on your board, or just soaking up the vibes.

7. What if I’m running late or need to leave early?
That’s totally fine! This is a casual event, so you’re welcome to come and go as you need.

8. What should I wear?
Whatever you’re comfortable in! I don't think I've ever had participants care/value looks and judge people like that.

9. Can I bring my support worker?
Yes, please do! Just let us know if you’re bringing someone along so we can make sure there’s enough space and materials. If your support worker wants to participate and make a vision board themselves, they will need to purchase a ticket.

If you have any other questions or specific needs, feel free to reach out—we’re here to make this event as comfortable and fun as possible for everyone. 💖
