Event description

Description

Re-imagine Centennial Parklands's Federation Valley as a Valley of Light.

We invite you to a free one-hour public light experience using 100 individual lights of various colours. You will help to create magnificent luminous tunnels, stunningly bright ribbons and spectacular rings of light under the direction of master light painter Peter Solness. As part of a public art experience, you will be immersed in the atmospherics of a large-scale, fluid light event. Come and learn the effects of long exposure photography and how it can create other-worldly renditions. You will understand how the camera can record images that are not seen by the naked eye.

Engagement: 100 volunteer light spinners / 200 amateur photographers / 200 spectators

LIGHT SPINNERS HAVE TO ARRIVE AT 4.30 PM

Everyone will get the chance to create unique images for sharing on social media

Where: Belvedere Amphitheatre, Centennial Park
