Description

Further to the recent announcement from NSW Health regarding the expansion of pharmacist-administered vaccinations to influenza, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (dTpa) and measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) to individuals aged 16 years and over.

The NSW Branch is pleased to offer Immunisation Refresher Courses for all pharmacists who wish to revise and renew their injection technique and relevant skills.


Face-to-Face Workshop Course Objectives:

The learning objectives for this course are:

  • Describe the benefits, precautions, and target groups for influenza, dTpa and MMR vaccination

  • Demonstrate clinical competence in the knowledge and skills relating to the administration of vaccinations.

  • Demonstrate the ability to draw up from a syringe, and administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections

  • Outline appropriate post-vaccination care in a pharmacy setting

Accreditation Code: G2018055

This activity has been accredited for 4 hours of Group 1 CPD (or 4 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist's CPD plan which can be converted to 4 hours of Group 2 CPD (or 8 CPD credits) upon succesful completion of relevant assessment activities.

Are there any requirements to enter the event?

All students must be APHRA registered pharmacists to attend.

All students must have completed an original accredited vaccination training course previously.

Guild Clinical Cancellation and Refund Policy

Learners who cancel their course are required to contact the Guild Clinical team.

Under the full-fee paying policy, course fees will be refunded in the following circumstances for participants who withdraw in writing:

  • 10 working days or more prior to the course commencement – 80% of the cost of the course

  • 5 working days prior to the course commencement – 50% of the cost of the course

  • 5 working days or less prior to the course commencement – Nil refund

The refund will be paid within two calendar weeks of the day on which the refund was approved by the departmental manager.

The refund must be made to the same person or body from whom the payment was received.

In the unlikely event that Guild Clinical is unable to deliver the course in full, a refund of all the course money paid to date will be offered. The refund will be paid within two weeks of the day on which the course ceased to be provided.

Upon enrolment you agree to be invoiced for the amount in full. If you wish to pay directly by credit card, please call Guild Learning and Development on (02) 9467 7130 upon completing the enrolment process.
