Globally accredited UX training for project managers and product owners

Do you need to know how to manage UX activities in a digital product? How to build and lead a UX team and measure UX impact on business performance?

The UX-PM Certification is an international UX training program certified by UXalliance, the world’s first network of leading UX companies. The full certification consists of 3 levels. Completion of the full certification positions project managers to:

  • Advocate a user-centered approach to product and service design

  • Integrate UX tools and methods to improve product quality and process efficiency

  • Decide where and when to make UX investments and trace the impact of those investments

Each level builds to expand knowledge of UX and how to integrate and manage it to achieve an awesome user experience in your projects. Each level is offered as a 2-day course, is certified by the UXalliance and is internationally recognized. The course is delivered in Australia by Bayfront UX.

UX-PM Level 3: Leading UX

UX-PM 3 is the final part of the 3 level training program, designed for digital product, marketing, and project managers, who need a deeper understanding of UX activities. You'll learn how maximize your investment in UX at every stage of the project cycle: creating a business case, building a UX team, project planning, estimation, implementation and continuous measurement.

After this third level of training, participants will be able to:

  • Plan and integrate UX activities in the context of a digital strategy across projects and work streams

  • Define UX metrics and KPIs

  • Measure and communicate the impact of UX on operational, financial and brand performance to inform global-level strategies

  • Build UX capability internally or externally


  • Plan and manage projects integrating UX tools and methods

  • Identify UX opportunities and build a business case to realise them

  • Tailor design briefs to requirements, organizational context and product strategy

  • Build a UX team and incorporate UX expertise in project planning

  • Define UX objectives, metrics and performance indicators

  • Immersion and practical application: techniques to define UX business opportunities, evaluating UX experts, defining UX metrics, individual reflection and group discussion

  • A combination of theory, problem-solving exercises and case studies

Who should attend?

UX-PM Level 2 certified professionals

Product owners, interactive marketing managers, project managers, IT professionals with 5-10 years of experience in the development of digital projects.


2 days, 9:00-16:30 full-day sessions with a one-hour lunch break. (Lunch and tea included)

Certification exam

The mulitple choice certification exam takes place at the end of the second day of training.

Who's teaching?

Ilana Kaplan and May Chan will be teaching UX-PM.

Ilana leads Bayfront UX. She is a passionate UX professional who has been in the industry for over 20 years. Ilana is skilled across user centred design activities including strategy, research, design, and testing. She has built and lead UX teams throughout her experience including at Hiser, Optimal experience, PwC and Bayfront. She has taught numerous user centred design courses.

May has over 10 years of experience in putting UX theories and toolkits into action for clients across a range of industries - Finance, Education, Health and others. A true believer of the user centered design methodology, May enjoys sharing this passion with others in her teaching.


The cost for the UX-PM 3 Certification course is $2,100 ex GST. Morning and afternoon tea, and lunch are included on both days.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes it is. Please let us know before hand so that we know who to expect on the day by emailing Ilana

Where is the venue?

The venue information will be updated closer to the event. We'll notify you if you have already registered.

What if I need to cancel?

If you cancel more than 7 days prior to the scheduled course date, we'll refund you the full amount less $100 admin fee. Within 7 days, we can't provide a refund. However, the value of your ticket is fully transferable to someone else or can be applied to another UX-PM course in the future.


Bayfront UX reserves the right to cancel a course up to 3 business days prior to the scheduled course date if the minimum class size of 6 participants has not been attained. A full refund will be provided.
