UTS Fintech Forum:

The zipMoney/Pocketbook story

(or why "Hiphop explains everything")

UTS Business School's Finance Discipline Group is hosting the ingugural UTS Fintech Forum.

We are excited to welcome back two UTS alumni and Fintech entrepreneurs to share their success stories. Larry Diamond (CEO zipMoney, ASX:ZIP) and Bosco Tan (COO PocketBook) return to their alma mater to discuss with Dr Gerhard Hambusch their breathtaking success as founders, innovators, entrepreneurs and Fintech pioneers.

Join us for a fireside style chat with Larry and Bosco within the unique environment of UTS Business School to learn about:

  • Larry's and Bosco's startup successes (and failures)
  • How financial services will become invisible and effortless
  • Why making a simple product can be complex
  • The role of data and social media for today's tech businesses
  • The importance of customer centric thinking in building successful businesses
  • Dos and don'ts when pitching business ideas to investors
  • How zipMoney secured a $40 million deal with Westpac
  • How Bosco sees business lessons in hiphop and how hiphop itself explains everything

Networking and refreshments will follow.
