Event description

Description

The Nursing and Midwifery Society, The Rural & Indigenous Health Society and MedSoc are pleased to present you with our Collaborative Health Symposium, wherein a range of health-minded organisations have been invited to speak to students, and let us know a little bit about what they do (and how we can help).

This is a free event, open to any one with a mind for health and a drive to do more!

Food and drinks will be provided, as well as an opportunity to engage with diverse organisations and find ways to get involved on a community level, better preparing you for post-graduate employment.

The organisations that will be represented are as follows:

ACON:
An organisation focused on LGBTI health outcomes and HIV prevention.

ST JOHNS:
Facilitators and educators focused on first aid and emergency medical support.

THE VICTOR CHANG CARDIAC RESEARCH INSTITUTE:
A highly respected organisation focused on cardiovascular health and intervention development.

UTS BUILD:
A leadership focused branch of UTS Careers that offers abroad experiences and personal development seminars for students.

TAKE KARE:
An initiative set up by the Thomas Kelly Foundation who seek to help develop and maintain a safe environment in the city of Sydney.

Plus additional guest speakers representing the UTS Soul Program and the National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy.

As we have limited seats available for this event, please register your interest.

We look forward to seeing you there!
