Description

Join us for the launch of the 2018 UTS Writers’ Anthology, Light Borrowers, with a foreword by writer Isabelle Li. Now in its 32nd year, the anthology shines a light on some of Australia’s most innovative emerging writers of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and scripts. Isabelle will introduce the event, which includes readings by contributors and the announcement of the winner of the 2018 UTS Anthology Writing Prize.

Isabelle Li

Isabelle Li grew up in China and migrated to Australia in 1999. Her collection of short stories, A Chinese Affair, was published in 2016. She has published in various literary journals and anthologies, including The Best Australian Stories, Southerly, and World Literature in China. Her script Mooncake and Crab was made into a short film funded by Screen NSW and premiered at the 60th Melbourne International Film Festival.

Thomas Westenberg

Thomas Westenberg is a screenwriter and aspiring author. He has recently completed a MA in Creative Writing at UTS, and is the author of Sursum Corda, the official history of Rosebank College, Five Dock. Thomas is on the editorial board for the 2018 UTS Writers’ Anthology.
