Description

Using Technology to Support Writing

(Claro Apps & iPads)

This is the third in Dr. Cheryl Dobbs' series of low-cost practical workshops on assistive technology for parents, professionals and their students (Year 5 or 6 upwards). It will begin with raising awareness of existing accessibility features on the iPhone or iPad to support writing. Participants will then use some of Claro's suite of Apps to engage in activities that will demonstrate how specific features can enhance the iPad or iPhone's function and help students with their writing, proof-reading and study. See www.claro-apps.com for information about the types of Apps available.

Participants will be sent details of the required Apps (free or low-cost). These will need to be downloaded onto the iPhone or iPad ready to use in the session.

Headphones are strongly recommended.

Book early, as places are strictly limited! Maximum of 12 participants.
