Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Harvard, Oxford, Stanford. Just three universities that change people’s lives. Have you ever thought about studying there? You could...

But hundreds of thousands of students apply to these top schools every year, and only a few thousand get in.

And the competition intensifies each and every year. If you want to unlock your potential, how are you going to stand out in a field of thousands? What do you need on your application to catch the admission officer’s eye? Can you even afford it?

These questions stop students and their parents in their tracks and too often, they’re too intimidated to pursue the dream of studying overseas.

That’s where this event steps in...

We’re bringing you everything you need to know in a one-stop, super seminar, which will untangle the knot and answer every single question you have about studying in the US or UK. The seminar will have inside information from ex-admissions officers, current students, alumni and financial aid experts. You can’t find these type of information online

Here’s the thing…

  • You don’t have to do it alone

  • It doesn’t have to be complex, daunting or unachievable

  • You are good enough, you just need a catalyst for success

  • It’s time to reimagine what’s possible

Join us at the 'Ultimate US/UK Seminar' and arm yourself with a crystal clear plan for success and make your application truly stand out from the competition.

  4. How to manage the cost of studying overseas.

  5. Choosing a university that’s right for you and your skills.

Other valuable topics that we will be covering:

  • Why study in the US or the UK? - employability, experience, independence, networking and more

  • What students think

  • Who gets accepted

  • Application strategies that work

  • What NOT to do on your application

  • Key timelines

  • Tips for success and balancing your final year of study at home

  • Cheat sheet for your parents - everything they need to know

  • How Crimson Education works and the team that will support you

  • How to find more information.

The speakers for the seminar would be:

Melina Gehring: Strategy Consultant, London Office

Melina is a former faculty member of the Ivy League university Dartmouth College. At Dartmouth, she enjoyed supporting students both as a writing lecturer and as a scholarship advisor. She helped hundreds of students improve their essays, theses, application materials, talks, and grant proposals, as well as secure prestigious scholarships such as the Rhodes, Fulbright, and DAAD. As a Strategy Consultant at Crimson’s London office, she is passionate about providing admission strategies for top-tier universities.

Melina holds a Ph.D. in American Studies (Hamburg), a master’s degree in Musicology (Hamburg), as well as an M.Phil. in International Relations (Cambridge). She is also an alumna of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes), which sponsors outstanding students and is often labeled Germany’s Oxbridge or Ivy League. As an academic, Melina has published two books and several articles in two disciplines and presented at many international conferences. Outside of academia, she served at Germany’s Federal Foreign Office and has written about international higher education as a freelance journalist.

Sergei Tugarinov, Crimson Academic Consultant

Sergei is currently studying at Princeton University, New Jersey, pursuing a degree in Public and International Affairs with a certificate in French language. He is also one of Crimson’s academic consultants. Previously, he attended Eton College, achieving exclusively A* and A grades at GCSE and A-Level, and 780 on both the Mathematics 2 and French SAT Subject Tests. Sergei has excelled academically at Princeton and has most recently been awarded a place at Sciences Po, Paris, to study abroad this autumn.

Away from academics, Sergei is actively involved in football, as well as instrumental and vocal music at university. His other interests include finance, reading and travelling. In the coming academic year, Sergei plans to build further on his extracurricular involvement at Princeton as he takes on a leading role in one of the college's business-oriented student organisations.

They parcel out the information in this easy-to-understand seminar where you’ll also be able to ask your burning questions. You’ll walk away with actionable next steps in taking your application to the next level.

It just works. We know because we’ve hosted hundreds of these seminars and helped thousands of students achieve their dreams.
