US-GAP Program Seminar II - "How to improve your proposals"

Join University of Melbourne Enterprise Professor, Lens Sciacca, and University of Maryland Research Professor, Stu Milner, for this 1-hour workshop (+ 15 minutes dicussion) about how to write better proposals for US funding applications.
Drawing on decades of collective experience, and presenting a range of case studies and examples, Sciacca and Milner will provide detailed information about:

- Helmeier Questions
- How to identify and engage a Program Manager
- The Pitch
- How to look for Broad Agency Announcements
This workshop is open to all researchers who have been selected to participate in the US Grant Accelerator Program.

Workshop Presenters
Lens Sciacca is a research engineer with extensive experience in government, industry and the research sector. He has worked at CSIRO, The Universities of Melbourne and Newcastle, Defence Science Technology Group, and Defence industry. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Science, Fellow of Engineers Australia, and was Chair of the Australian Research Council College of Experts for Mathematics, Information and Communication Sciences.
Dr. Stuart Milner is the Associate Director for Maryland Optics Group (Electrical and Computer Engineering.) Dr. Milner’s research covers wireless optical and RF networking, scalability of dynamic wireless RF and optical networks, topology control of wireless networks, and optical wireless transceiver development. He has extensive experience in bidding for and managing US federal funding.
