Event Details

Urban Permaculture with David Holmgren

Join us for this special event with leading ecological thinker and respected teacher and writer David Holmgren.

David, credited as being the co-originator of the permaculture concept, will talk about the permaculture lifestyle as a simple, realistic, and achievable way of life. He will show you how to apply the principles and ethics of permaculture to create urban, household and neighbourhood systems that provide food, energy, shelter and other everyday needs.

David is a thought-provoking speaker and you will leave with inspirational ideas and practical solutions for creating a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

David is author of the best-selling new book, RetroSuburbia: the downshifter's guide to a resilient future (2018) as well as Permaculture: Principles & Pathways Beyond Sustainability (revised 2017), which has sold 40,000 copies worldwide and been translated into a dozen languages.

This workshop is part of the 'Living for our Future Program', a community sustainable living initiative of the City of Boroondara. Stay up to date about future events and resources by visiting our Living for our Future webpage or by signing up for our e-newsletter.
