UQ Ventures Discovery - Junior Summer Camp

About this Event
These school holidays come and spend two jam-packed, full days of fun to design and build products to transform your house to be more sustainable.
You will learn alongside three teams of innovators including;
- The University of Queensland Ventures Discovery team;
- smart composting startup Monty Compost Co; and
- technology startup Micromelon Robotics.
You will have the opportunity to use design thinking methodologies to create innovative ideas and then use robotics, programming, app design and hardware solutions, to prototype and build your sustainable house solutions.
During the two days, you will learn how to develop an innovative product by working with our entrepreneurs to turn your ideas into reality.
This event is restricted to school Years 7-9.
Event details
Date: Thursday 10 December - Friday 11 December
Time: 8.30am-2.30pm (for both Thursday and Friday)
Venue: Room 101, ModWest (Building 11A), St Lucia Campus, The University of Queensland
Lunch: BYO lunch or bring lunch money to use at the food outlets on campus (accompanied by an adult)
Please note the following for COVID safety:
