OUR GUIDED WALKS ARE FULLY SUBSCRIBED BUT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING PLACED ON A WAITING LIST, PLEASE EMAIL t.homburg@uq.edu.au AND CHECK IN AT THE REGISTRATION TABLE 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE SCHEDULED WALK. PLACES MAY OPEN UP BUT THERE ARE MANY INTERESTING EXHIBITIS TO EXPLORE SO WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
Join staff from The University of Queensland's Centre for Marine Science for guided walks through the diverse coastal habitats of Wellington Point.
Explore intertidal flats, mangroves, seagrass and coral habitats, meeting some of the area's unique wildlife in their natural environment.
Important details:
Look for the bright blue Centre for Marine Science Marquees, near the Beach and Playground (on the left as you drive down Main Road towards the point).
These tours are suitable for ages 4 and up. Children aged 4-14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Please wear closed in shoes or water booties with hard soles, that can get completely wet. Please bring sun protection - sunglasses, hat, sunscreen and water bottles.
