UQ 3MT Wildcard 2016
Event Information
Description
AN 80,000 WORD THESIS WOULD TAKE 9 HOURS TO PRESENT.
THEIR TIME LIMIT... JUST 3 MINUTES!
Founded by the University of Queensland in 2008, the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a communication competition that invites RHD students to present the significance of their research to a non-specialist audience in just three minutes.
Since its inception, 3MT® has grown well beyond UQ’s sandstone walls – in 2016, more than 340 higher education institutions across six continents have held or will hold a 3MT® event.
This year, hundreds of UQ students participated in our university-wide competition. After several months of school, institute and faculty heats and finals, we have 7 finalists... but there's room for one more!
The People's Choice winners from each faculty and combined institute finals will present their 3MT® again to a new audience, in the hopes of becoming the eighth competitor in the UQ final.
Please join us in celebrating these students and their incredible research. Come along to the QBI Auditorium and cheer on our People's Choice winners as they battle it out for a spot in the final as the 2016 UQ 3MT® Wildcard entry!
